Snorkel with whale sharks in Baja California Sur. Snorkeling with whale sharks in the Sea of Cortez is one of the most wonderful things you can do in Mexico.
Whale sharks are in the area from November to May, this is when there is plankton for them to feed on. The whale sharks swim slowly and filter feed at the surface making them the perfect gentle giant to swim along side in the water.
On your boat ride in the bay of La Paz, don’t forget to keep an eye out for dolphins, rays, and other exciting sea life along the way! This is an incredible experience, you can swim alongside the biggest fish on the planet in harmony.
Itinerary With Transportation from Los Cabos
You will be collected from your accommodation in air-conditioned transportation and taken to the marina of La Paz, you will be given your equipment here if you need it before staring your exciting journey to the whale shark area.
Safety first, your experienced whale shark guide will give you a safety briefing and tell you the correct way to swim with the whale shark to protect the animals and the area.
You have the chance to jump in the water numerous times with the whale sharks until you have had a wonderful interaction and you feel content.
While you are on the boat look out for other pelagic animals like dolphins, and rays, you may have the opportunity to hop in the water with these as well.
Once the snorkeling has finished you can enjoy a traditional Mexican lunch before being taken back to your accommodation.
