Shark dive in Los Cabos. It is every divers dream to dive with sharks, come join us to dive with schools of scalloped hammerheads at the famous dive site, Gordo banks.
The boat ride to Gordo Banks is between 40 and 90 minutes from the marina depending on conditions. The underwater seamount’s shallowest point is 120ft therefore it is a deep and blue dive. It is usually during the drifts into the blue where we encounter incredible marine life including large numbers of hammerheads and pelagic animals that we encounter along the way.
Experienced divers will thrive from this aquatic excursion as we will spend 2 dives looking for hammerheads and other species such as sailfish, marlin, wahoo, dorado, tuna, and large groupers, snappers, rainbow runners, schools of jacks, mobula rays, silky sharks, manta rays, dolphins, orcas and whale sharks. At this dive site, you even have a good chance to see humpbacks whales between December and April.
We dive in small groups to give divers the best and safest experience in the water. Our captains are experienced and our dive guides are shark lovers and very experienced in this area. We try our best to give you the chance to jump in the water with other Pelagic animals on your surface interval.
This is a wonderful site for pelagic species, please be aware that the animals are wild and they swim where they like, encounters are not guaranteed. Please remember this is a deep dive in the blue therefore divers must be experienced and feel comfortable diving in blue water and have AOW or above certification and dive insurance.
In order to go to Gordo banks, you will need to do a check-out dive.
