Sea Lion Dive La Paz is one of the best dives you can do while visiting Baja California Sur. This is one of the only places where you have the chance to interact with baby sea lions as well as diving amongst huge schools of fish.
ESPÍRITU SANTO ISLAND
Espíritu Santo Island is a protected area and was declared part of a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 1995. This beautiful island is located in the sea of Cortez a few miles off the coast of La Paz. The island is home to around 600 sea lions giving you a high chance to enjoy cuddles on your dive with cheeky sea lion pups.
As you are scuba diving in a protected area there are a high number of different species in the area. You have the chance of seeing hundreds of baby sea Lions as well as the impressive big bulls. Diving off these islands in La Paz gives you the chance to see mobula rays, dolphins, birds, and even dolphins and orcas on the way out to the dive site.
Sea Lion Dive La Paz tour is designed for you to enjoy the best parts of the Baja. Our captains and guides are very experienced. We take out small groups, if you have a big group your tour is private. We want you to get the most from this excursion.
On the Sea Lion Dive La Paz excursion, you will be collected from your accommodation in Los Cabos and taken to the marina in La Paz. On arrival to the boat, you will receive your equipment and start the scenic journey to the islands.
Along the way you can watch out for dolphins and schools of mobula rays popping out of the water.
When we arrive at the island have a briefing about the dive site. On the dive you can enjoy the amazing marine life and playful sea lion pups.
Lunch is provided on this trip and you will have the opportunity to enjoy 2 dives and this wonderful site.
After the second dive it is time to relax and take in the views on the return trip to there marina before being taken back to your accommodation.
While you are in the area you can explore a little further and either swim with whale sharks or dive at a shipwreck as well as diving with sea lions.
Shipwrecks and sea lions
Sometimes one dive is not enough, if you would like to extend your day and dive at one of the famous shipwrecks of La Paz as well as playing with the sea lions you can look out for the resident turtle, big schools of fish, black corral and ever an ugly jaw fish if you are lucky.

Whale sharks come to La Paz each year to feed, the whale shark area is very well regulated and we snorkel with the biggest fish in the world with a lot of respect.
