grey whales

Grey whales migrate in pods from the Alaskan waters to the warmer waters off the Mexican coast each year to breed and have their babies in the shallow southern waters. Gray whales are protected and their numbers are growing, when you are out in the bay you will see whales in all directions. Grey whales can reach up to 40 feet long and 40 tons. Imagine how wonderful it is to see these beautiful beasts and their newborn calves up close from your boat.

MAGDALENA BAY:

Magdelena bay is a unique and wonderful place as it is one of the few places in the world where you can have a very intimate whale watching experience. Females give birth to their calves in this area and nourish them until they are strong enough to make their journey back to the cold waters of Alaska.  Whale’s confidence in humans has grown so they are now approaching the boats to seek interaction with us in a calm lagoon with very few boats.
